Roger L. Crique Dominican Heritage Slate Desk Plaque | La Güira

La Güira celebrates one of the unmistakable sounds of Dominican music and culture. This natural slate desk plaque features the iconic metal güira and scraper surrounded by musical notes and touches of the Dominican colors, accompanied by the words “El sonido que nos identifica.” It is a vibrant tribute to the rhythm that has brought generations to their feet and helped give Dominican music its distinctive sound.

Created by Roger L. Crique as part of the Dominican Heritage collection, La Güira celebrates music, tradition, and cultural pride while honoring an instrument recognized far beyond the Dominican Republic. Whether it brings back memories of merengue playing at home, family celebrations, or simply the irresistible sound of the güira, this piece was created to keep a little of that rhythm close by.
